Sam Richardson

Sam always wanted to play the drums—from his early memories of his grandfather showing him how to play “mama, papa” with drumsticks to becoming an active, touring musician in the early 2000s.

In 1986, he inherited his grandfather’s early 1970s Rogers drumset and has never looked back. He has played heavy metal, rock and roll, latin, pop, funk and soul. Now, after raising a family, he is back behind the kit laying down the heavy grooves for The Get Down.
