Massimo Paparello

Massimo Paparello is a Los Angeles-based trumpet player, composer, and music educator known for his dynamic tone, fearless improvisation, and razor-sharp ears. Equally at home on stage, in the studio, or in the classroom, Massimo blends a deep foundation in jazz and classical technique with the raw energy of soul, funk, and indie.

He has toured internationally with blues and soul bands, including performing with the B.B. King All-Stars at Sea, a Memphis-based ensemble known for carrying the legacy of blues and soul music to audiences worldwide. His versatility and precision have made him a go-to session player for artists across genres.

When he’s not tracking horns or arranging charts, he’s mentoring the next generation of brass players, composing original works, or experimenting with layered horn textures.
